So, the result of the DNA test finally came back. As I suspected, I am not a pure Chinese. The surprise is that my paternal Haplogroup they testing I have the haplogroup C, which is commonly found among Oroqens, Mongolians, and the Souix Indians of north America. This haplogroup is spread by the rise Mongol empire. I am probably a direct descendant of the great Khan himself.
My maternal haplogroup is B4a, which is found among nearly 100% of Native Americans in South West America and Northern Mexico.
As much as I dislike American culture, I knew there is a reason why I have the primal instinctive love I have for the land. Looking at the my two haplogroup halves, even though I am East Asian, the two haplogroup’s most common overlap is actually in the American Great Plains. Just something interesting I thought to share.
